One of my favorite parts of planning travel is how One of my favorite parts of planning travel is how different every trip can be. Recently I’ve helped a family slow down in Croatia, a family with teens balance adventure and beach time on Hawaiʻi’s Big Island, and couples celebrate anniversaries in Ireland, Italy, Greece, and Canada. Two couples experienced their very first trips to Europe and I was thrilled to be a part of that! 🫶🏻 I love hearing what each person is hoping for—more time to relax, a special celebration, a little adventure, the feeling of discovering somewhere new—and then bringing all those pieces together into a trip that feels personal to them. We take so many photos when we travel, but how oft We take so many photos when we travel, but how often do we get a beautiful photo of ourselves that isn’t a selfie? In Kyoto, I booked a session through @flytographer with @kyotofamilyphoto, and I’m so glad we did. He made us feel completely comfortable, and the photos gave us something we’ll keep for a lifetime: a little piece of this trip to look back on. (The last two photos in this carousel are the two other times we did this: 2016 in Scotland and 2014 in Paris. It was time to bring this back!!). A travel photographer can be such a lovely addition to a trip, whether it’s a honeymoon, anniversary, family vacation, or simply a place you want to remember together.
